We were passing through La Grande. Since not many places were open on Saturday evening, we ended up at "Side A Brewing."
It was a very busy time for them, and despite the wait, I wanted to give them 5 stars for their outstanding customer service, thanks to Brittany. While I watched the kitchen staff, I was highly impressed by how quickly they handled the order slips. There was no moment of pause for them. I had to inquire about their names and commend them for their excellent work and good food.
It's quite challenging to find good workers nowadays. So, Jaxsan, David, and Kevin, well done, guys! Keep it up!
Needed a quick bite to eat for lunch so we stopped in at Side A Brewery. My wife and I split the Korean Beef Tacos and Chicken Sandwich. For the sandwich we upgraded our side to the dirty fries.
The tacos were great and the fries were excellent. The beer my wife had and the chicken sandwich was average. Definitely worth trying out though.
Had a delicious burger with loaded fries. The beer was excellent both on draft and from the limited supply beer fridge. Solid atmosphere and friendly service also. Generally a go to spot if I'm in town.
Food was very good! The veggie burger was fantastic and fries were super tasty. Beer was definitely not my favorite. The vibe of the place is cool! I would definitely recommend the food here, maybe some of their other beers are better!
I could write a lot here, but I'll try and keep it brief. Major points, I was disappointed. It has so much potential. However, it's the devil in the details. All food was served tepid at best. The chicken was not pounded out, so it was a ball of meat lost in a sea of bread. Speaking of bread, I feel it should always be served warm or tasted. It felt cold and dry. It left my palette gummed and in search of some liquid to help it get off the roof of my mouth. I love the idea of the flavor profiles. The locally sourced protein is great. Please do this beautiful idea justice and iron out small details.
Set in an old firehouse, this brewery does both beer and food really well. The house burger has a really nice Smokey flavor and the fries are delicious. The flagship beer, Oregon Fog Hazy IPA is a must try for any hoppy head that enjoys their beer to taste like a flower. A must stop for anyone on 84 who loves beer.
What a great place to stop if you're heading through La Grande OR. We had delicious food and brews for lunch. Their fried chicken is on point along with their tacos, dirty salad, dirty fries, and mac and cheese. Their stout also goes great with their dessert too. We will definitely visit again when in town.
Very solid house burger. Delicious. Dirty fries are pretty tasty with all the toppings, BUT the fries themselves are skinny, limp and cold. Excellent staff, prompt service, and some pretty nice beers. Definitely worth a visit.
